So, it was my 18th birthday on tuesday and I didn't do anything on the day apart from go shopping. However, to make up for the boringness of my actual birthday, I went to the lake district with two of my best friends (Lauren and Beth) and my brother (Peter) on thursday and came back today (saturday). We stayed in a log cabin that was surprisingly modern and had a better TV than we have at home. It was also right by a ginormous lake and was pretty much surrounded by geese and ducks.
I don't really have much to say about what we did, but I had a lot of fun and it was great to get away. We just chilled on the thursday night and got very drunk– well, I got very drunk, I'm not sure about everyone else (I'm not as used to drinking alcohol). Then on friday we went swimming (in an indoor pool, not the lake) and chilled out some more.

Ah happy belated birthday! Sounds like a fun birthday. I have such a craving to stay in a log cabin on a lake this summer! And I'm jealous that you can legally drink. At 18. I'm 20 and I still can't go out to a bar in my damn country.
